Speed Variator for VASCO NASTEC Pumps

VA riable S peed CO ntroler, VASCO is a family of variable speed drives, manufactured by NASTEC , specially designed to control and protect pumping systems based on the speed variation of the electric pumps.

Pump systems are often oversized for the application and more energy is expended than necessary. With energy savings of up to 70% on partial loads alone, the typical investment pays back in less than 2 years, depending on energy cost and pump running time. An engine at 80% of its maximum speed uses 48% less energy and reduces carbon emissions.

Available controls include constant pressure, system curve, constant flow or an external signal.

In addition to these functions, NASTEC - VASCO is capable of tasks that are normally only carried out by more advanced computerized control systems, such as:

Stop the pump or pumps in case of water failure; allowing protection against dry running;
A second pressure value that allows switching between two different pressure settings via an external switch;
Sensor failure;
Over temperature of the inverter and the motor that protects the electric pump from under or overvoltage.

The inverter settings and parameters can be saved in a file, with the possibility of copying them to other inverters and sharing them among several users.
