Expansion Vessel GWS

ThermoWave ™ expansion vessels are specially designed for use in potable water heating applications.

Many homes and buildings have potable water heating systems to provide hot water for washing, cooking, bathing, etc. As water is heated, it also expands, and this expansion raises system pressure and can cause serious damage.

Most systems use a relief valve that is installed to relieve the expanded water flow, thus preventing the system from exceeding the maximum operating pressure. Unfortunately this wastes energy as the volume of hot water that has been relieved must be reset and sharpened again.
